Upside-Down Cheesy Beef Cake


1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Roll out your pie crust or puff pastry and fit it into the bottom of a greased 9-inch round cake pan, trimming any excess.
3. In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Press the beef mixture evenly on top of the pastry in the pan.
4. Bake the beef and pastry base for 15 minutes, then carefully drain excess grease.
5. In a separate bowl, mix together cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard until smooth.
6. Spread the cheese mixture over the cooked beef in the pan.
7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the pastry edges are golden brown.
8. Let cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a plate to serve, making it « upside-down. »
